Wanda Martindale

Wanda Martindale, 84, of Whitney and formerly of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on March 25, 2009. Wanda was born on September 15, 1924 in Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Mathilda Wolfe Roach. She was raised in Norborne, Missouri. On February 26, 1946, she married Frank Martindale. She spent over 60 years of her married life living in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Whitney. She enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, gardening and activities with her family. She was caring, generous and always put her family first. She was an extraordinary caregiver, loved by many and a blessing to all. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jan Padgett. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Frank Martindale of Whitney; children, Toni Wilson and husband Ted of Whitney, Kathy Reading and husband Shannon of Easton PA; brothers, Albert Roach, Elton Roach, Orland Roach, Cleo Roach, Dennis Roach; sisters, Deloris Roach, Evelyn Laws; grandchildren, Ryan Brown, Kyle Brown, Megan Reading; great grandchildren, Lauren Brown, Christian Brown, Elizabeth Brown and Austin Brown.
