Wayne Chenault

Wayne Paul Chenault, 56, of Morgan, our brother, our uncle, our friend, left us to go to new beginnings with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at 1:15 AM, on March 5, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Wayne was born on December 21, 1958, in Dallas, the third born of five, to David Weldon and Doris Mae (Farmer) Chenault. Being with his family, fishing, playing darts and watching old classic westerns were pastimes that he enjoyed. He also loved the music of The Beetles.

Wayne is survived by a son, Christopher Emile Bauer Chenault of Amarillo; a grandson, Chris and a granddaughter, Kaylee; older brother, David Brian Chenault, older brother, Terry Alan Chenault, younger sister, Carol Lisa Chenault-Handlin, and younger brother, Steve Kevin Chenault; nephews, Travis and Johnathan Handlin and David Chenault, Jr; nieces, Ancelia Chenault Hasseltine, Alicia Chenault and Erika Chenault-Zakar; uncle, Ted J. Farmer; cousin Linda Henderson; and in “honorable mention”, our cousin Jack Hayes, who we all considered our half-brother, and who went to be with our Lord in 2005; great-nieces, Sierra Haskee and Callie Chenault, ages 7 and 5; great-nephews, Joseph and Zachery Hesseltine, ages 3 and 18 months.

The family and friends wish to thank Waco Providence as a whole, and individually, Dr. Richie, Dr. Moffitt, Dr. Schwedock; all the staff in Intensive Care, the 4th floor north hospice care that collectively provided compassionate care for Wayne and his family and friends during his final 17 days on Earth.
