Weldon Miller, 75, of Covington passed away Monday, December 24, 2012, in a Fort Worth hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 28, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Paul Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Weldon was born September 3, 1937 in Birome to John and Eldora (Anderson) Miller. He grew up in Itasca and lived there most of his life. On June 10, 1954, he married Shirley Woodlee and she preceded him in death on November 27, 2009.
In his younger days he worked at various jobs and would later go to work at General Dynamics for a few years. In 2006, he retired from Miller Brewery in Fort Worth after more than 30 years of service.
He was known for his cars, which he loved to work on and rebuild. Weldon also enjoyed working in the yard and working with his tractor. A very generous person, he would help anyone in need.
Also preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his five sons, Jackie, Donnie, Dickie, and Randy Miller all of Covington and Bobby Miller and wife, Patty, of Itasca; three grandchildren, Dale and Ashley Miller and Alvin Snorton all of Waco; and three great-grandchildren, Nikaya, Jasmine, and Jayden all of Waco.
