Wendy Melvin

Wendy Jane Melvin, 38, of Arlington passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Amy Anderson of Line Street United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, at the funeral home.

Wendy was born March 30, 1978 in Whitney to Randal and Cheryl (Richardson) Jones. An honor graduate of the 1996 graduating class of Hillsboro High School, she went on to attend Hill College. On May 12, 2001, Wendy was united in marriage to Damion Melvin. She worked as a Pharmacy Technician in Hillsboro and Arlington. When time permitted, she enjoyed painting, art work, and doing crafts. Wendy was a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents.

Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Damion Melvin of Arlington; parents, Randal and Cheryl Jones of Hillsboro; children, Kaleb and Kallie Melvin, both of Arlington; sister, Samantha Deaton of Waxahachie; two nephews, Kade Deaton and Randal Mantooth; and many other loving relatives and friends.
