Will Hammonds, Sr

Will Loyd Hammonds, Sr, 65, of Whitney, passed away on September 29, 2012. No services are scheduled.

Will was born on April 5, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Raymond and Annie (Greenhaw) Hammonds. He joined the Air Force and was stationed in Alaska and Guam.
On March 31, 1967, he married Sandra Strawn and they moved to Waco in 1974. He owned several businesses. They moved to Whitney in 2010. Will was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Hammonds of Whitney; step-mother, Winnie Hammonds of Dallas; sons, Mark Hammonds and wife Tennille, of Whitney and Will Hammonds, Jr. and wife Amy of Paris; one brother, Danny Hammonds, of Kemp; sisters, Betty Hammonds Sutton of Kemp, Tammie Hammonds of Mesquite, Sharon Henderson and Shirley Hardesty of Kemp; grandchildren, HayLee Hammonds, Caleb Marshall, Hannah Marshall, Harper Hammonds, and Hayden Hammonds.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Texas Oncology, Attn: P.A.L.S., 1710 W. Hwy 6, Waco, TX 76712.
