Willa Tarpley

Willa Mae Tarpley 85, of Cleburne passed away at her home on Friday, July 3, 2015. Graveside services will be held at Noon on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory with Chaplin Nancy Schneider officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00- 11:00 AM at Marshall and Marshal Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Willa was born on October 18, 1929 in a farm house in Jones County, Texas to John and Fanny (Gunnin) Wheeler. She loved to work in her garden and helping others in their time of need. Willa loved her church life and her church family, her own family meant everything to her. Willa was a member of the Laguna Park Church of Christ and worked as a secretary most of her life.

Preceding her in death were her parents John Anderson Wheeler and Fanny Gertrude Cleo Aurella Wheeler; husband Robert Garvis Tarpley; siblings, Cleo Hamilton, Sarah Wheeler and Wallace Wheeler.

Survivors include her children, Mike Tarpley, Marsha Tarply, Dan Tarpley; siblinge, Joyce Saylors, Adry Wheeler, Franklin Smith; 11 grand-children and 15 great-grandchildren.
