Willard Keelin


Willard was the son of Rev. Harmon and Hazel Gladine Smith Keelin. During his youth, he lived many places. His father was a Methodist minister and the family served in churches from Norman, Oklahoma to Hillsboro, Texas. After graduating from high school in Carter, Oklahoma, he served his country in the United States Army. Since 1959 he had lived in Hillsboro at various times. Willard was a member of Line Street Methodist Church and a past member of the Hillsboro Optimist Club. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Buddy Keelin on February 20, 1981. Survivors include: 3 daughters including Lori Moten of Atlanta, GA; several grandchildren; aunts, Audrey Rozelle of Dallas, Helen Green and husband, Winfred of Arlington, and Mildred Schaerdel and husband, Fred of Dallas; niece, Nanette Wyatt of Bartlett; nephews, Randy Keelin of Hillsboro, Russell Keelin of Hillsboro; great niece, Brandi Robinson; great nephew, Cameron Keelin; great great niece, Matilyn Robinson and a number of cousins. Memorials may be made to the Charity of Choice.
