William Lawrence Adams

William Lawrence “Bill” Adams, age 82 passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, in Waco.

William known as Bill was born in Paris, Tx on October 21, 1938, to Jack and Christine Adams (Carpenter).  He went to Paris high school for some of his high school years but graduated from W.H Adamson High School in Dallas in 1957.  After graduating he joined the Marines.  He received an honorable discharge in 1959 when he needed to return home to help care for his mother.  He remained very proud of being a Marine throughout his life.  He was also part of the Air Force later where he received another honorable discharge in 1967.  He retired from ATT Southwestern Bell telephone company where he worked as an engineer.  He became passionate about bike marathon races and spent many years training and entering marathons.  After moving to Whitney, TX, he began working again at the school.  He also liked to golf often after moving to White Bluff.  Bill Adams didn’t show love in a typical way.  He showed it by taking care of his family.  Even when he was unhappy with the choices made, he was always trying to help pick up the pieces and help his family.  He was proud of them and always had pictures posted all over his house.  He also really enjoyed working on projects and was always finding unique projects to do at his house.

Bill lost his wife Sue Adams in 2017 and he always talked about how much he missed her. He passed away October 14, 2021.

Bill is survived by his children, Vicki, Trace, and Kristi; his grandchildren, Kayla, Alexa, Christina, Michael, and Alana; and 5 great grandchildren.
