William Barfield, Sr

William "Bill" Dale Barfield, Sr., 58, of Waco, died Thursday, May 4, 2006, in Waco. Bill was born January 5, 1948 in Houston, Texas the son of William Dale and Florence Dentler Barfield. He was raised at the state home in Corsicana. On June 12, 1965 he married Rebecca Aline Nowell and they lived in Corsicana. He worked as a trucker and prison guard and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hillsboro. For the past 15 years he lived in Waco. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Rebecca Barfield, on May 30, 2005; sister, Barbara Bazor; and a brother, Edward Standford. Survivors include three sons, William D. Barfield, Jr of Barberton, Ohio, and Bobby Barfield and Benjamin Lewis Barfield both of Waco; brother, Robert Lee Dentler of Caltag, Alaska; and seven grandchildren.
