William Bond

William “Larrie” Bond, 62, of Hillsboro went to be with his Savior on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the funeral home. He fought and won his battle with cancer when he went home to Heaven to be with his father and brother, John Huston Bond, and other close friends and family who greeted him at the pearly gates.

He was born August 5, 1953 in Adrian, Michigan, the son of William Milton Bond and Mary Janet Bond Noble Farquhar. Larrie grew up in Dallas, but resided in Hillsboro for many years where he enjoyed fishing, his guns, and helping his neighbors. He also lived in Mena, Arkansas where his daughter, Samantha, grew up.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Marie Bond of Mena, Arkansas. He is also survived by (all from Hillsboro) his mother; sister, Billie Gant, and brother-in-law, Wayne Gant; sister, Tonnie Bond; niece, Nesha Mayes, and nephew-in-law, Richard Mayes; brother, Steven Bond; sister-in-law, Jane Bond, and niece, Mackenzie Bond, of McKinney; nephew, Jason Bond, and great-nephew, Troy Bond, of Virginia; nephew, Justin Bond, niece-in-law, Amber Bond, great-nephew, Kayen Bond, and great-niece, Tilly Bond, all of Katy.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Peoria Community Center following the committal service for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
