William "Bill" Goar

On January 18, 2021, William “Bill” Clifton Goar ascended to his rightful place in God’s paradise after demonstrating incredible strength working for two months to heal his way back home to his wife, Nancy Goar, following a traumatic brain injury and additional complications that led to his passing.  There are no services scheduled.

He is also survived by his sisters, Pat Goar and Kathy Hernandez; as well as by his children, Billie, Denise, and Michael Charles; in addition to his stepsons, Russel with his wife, Jaime, Larry, Gary, and Andy with his wife, Laura. In addition to these beloved children, Bill is survived by one additional stepdaughter, Rebecca; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Awaiting his heavenly arrival, having preceded him in death, include his mother, Docia Neoma Lee; his father, William Lawrence Goar; and previous wives, Alice Warden Shelby Goar and Glenda Gale Darden. Among his siblings who preceded him in death include, Roland, Michael, Diane, Lester, Joyce, and Lora.

Many lives and homes in Hillsboro have benefited from Bill’s warm service and stellar craftsmanship as a carpenter, HVAC expert, and owner of Bug Busters Pest Control Company. May we all remember his warmth, humor, and brilliance.
