William Green, 56, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
William was born March 13, 1960 in Hillsboro to Letha Frieda (Johnson) and James “Jim” Presley Green, Jr. He was a 1978 graduate of Hillsboro High School. For 25 years, he was employed as a sales representative for John Deere in Hillsboro, later known as Brazos Valley Equipment, retiring in 2013.
A simple man, William enjoyed the simple things in life. In his leisure time, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and take them fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his mother and niece, Lauren Watts.
Survivors include his father, Jim Green, Jr. of Hillsboro; three children, Presley Green of Overland Park, KS, Brandi Green of Bedford, and Jennifer Green of Houston; brother, James Green and wife, Kristi, of Hillsboro; three sisters, Donna Watts and husband, Glenn, of San Antonio, Jackie Green of Hillsboro, and Mary Green of New Braunfels; two grandchildren, Vincent Garrett and Brysen Garrett, both of Bedford; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to a college fund for his grandchildren in the name of Brandi Green, c/o Citizens National Bank, P. O. Box 404, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
