William Miller

William Troy "Jack" Miller, 80, of Aquilla passed away Thurs. Dec. 20, 2007 in Whitney. Mr. Miller was born on Aug. 5, 1927 in Aquilla to William Troy Miller, Sr. and Mildred Louise White. On July 19, 1950, he married Joyce Stewart in Rockwall, TX. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a maintenance mechanic for Certain-Teed manufacturing, retiring in 1984. He also worked for G & P Seed Company which he enjoyed very much. He was a member of Aquilla First Baptist Church. Jack loved to fish, his family, church and community. Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Betty Louise Miller and son-in-law, Dale Murphy, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Joyce; children, Shelia Simmmons, and husband, Michael, Cindy Lockett and husband, Tim, Pam Clepper and husband, Jerry all of Aquilla; sisters, Nelda Thomas and husband, Tommy of Walling Bend, Barbara Brown and husband, Paul of Peoria; 10 grandchildren, Chris Simmons and wife, Christa, of Aquilla, Robin Harwell and husband, Chris, of West, Tiffany Murphy of Aquilla, Clay Simmons of College Station, Jake Lockett of College Station, Lauren Lockett of Aquilla, Sarah Lockett of Aquilla, Jason Clepper of College Station, Michelle Valero and husband, Chad of Aquilla, Kevin Clepper of Aquilla and 5 great grandchildren.
