William Mims, Sr

William Franklin (Frank) Mims, Sr., 77 of Whitney died Saturday, Februry 5, 2011 in a Ft. Worth Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Frank was the son of Noah and Maybell(Fretwell) Mims and was born in Thomasville, GA. where he grew up. During the Korean War, he served in the Marine Corp. and lived in Florida until ten years ago when he moved to Whitney. Frank was a commercial masonary contractor. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include three children: Billy Mims of Whitney, Gary Mims and Michael Easley of Pensacola, FL.; one sister, Lillian Hipp of Mabank, Tx.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
