William Joseph Morris

William Joseph Morris, born May 22, 1950, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed peacefully on April 5, 2025. Bill enjoyed 17 years of marriage to Emily Carter Morris during which time he learned how to love and be loved while living in White Bluff Resort on their ranchette.

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He later continued his aviation career along with operating a truck, landscaping, and eventually joining Emily in the real estate business. Bill had a deep love for golf, horses, and his dogs. However, after his Parkinson's diagnosis in 2019, his focus shifted. He began looking forward to the men's breakfasts at Open Range Cowboy Church, where he cherished the fellowship, camaraderie, and studying of God’s Word. He also found comfort in Celebrate Recovery, where a meal was served.

After a severe bout with Parkinson’s in 2022 there was nothing he loved more than Emily’s cooking and how she cared for him.

Bill is preceded in death by James Shelton Morris (father) and Ruth Thorpe Morris (mother). His sister Barbara (Bobbi) and her husband Roger Rohrbough, nephew Andrew Rohrbough, and brother John Morris.

Bill is survived by Emily Carter Morris, her daughters Teri Morgan and family and BJ McDowell and family, his nephew Patrick Rohrbough and wife, and his adopted Rohrbough family in California.

There’s no such thing as a perfect man but there is a perfect love. I am thankful for the love we shared. ~ Emily
