William "Billy" Peacock

William “Billy” Constant Peacock 86, of Whitney, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Temple, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Yates Cemetery near Whitney, Rev. Mike Kerzee will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday May 7, 2013, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney, Texas

Billy was born on January 25, 1927, in Whitney , Texas, to William Orville Peacock and Gladys Bera ( Taylor ) Peacock. He married Lola ( Posey ) Peacock on May 29 , 1948, in Hill County, Texas. He served his country during W.W. II, in the United States Army Air Corp, worked for over 30 years in the Final Finish Department. at General Tire in Waco. Billy was an avid fisherman and hunter, he also was very good at woodworking and built many cabinets for people over the years. He was a member of King Memorial United Methodist Church and member of Whitney Masonic Lodge # 355.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister Berniece Rabe.

Survivors include his wife Lola Peacock, of Whitney, children; Delwin Peacock and wife Pam of Waco, Becky Bighouse and husband Gary of Peoria, grandchildren; Amber Seely and husband Dustin of Whitney, Texas, Holly Prochazka and husband Matt of Navarre, Florida, Connie Pettis and husband Shaun of Tucson, Arizona, Heather Peacock of Austin, Texas, Hayley Lehoski and husband Daniel, of Las Vegas Nevada, great- grandchildren; Makenzie, Mason, Averie, and Layla, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
