William "Pete" Clarence Lee

William "Pete" Clarence Lee, 78, passed away on February 4, 2025 at his home in Whitney, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., February 8, 2025 at Peoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., prior to service at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas.

Pete was born on March 24, 1946 in Hillsboro, Texas to his loving parents, William Doyle and Helen Lee. He eloped with the love of his life, Judith Ann (Nelson) Lee when they were 18 and 16 years old. Pete was was working at Charlie Shelly's garage and Judith was working at Underwoods Barbecue. Pete loved to tell the story of how difficult is was to obtain their marriage license in the hottest month of the year in a car with no air conditioning. His parents divorced and he was raised by Granny Lee, who was a remarkable woman. Pete went to work with his brother in-law as a bricklayers helper and soon learned how to lay brick, doing it for 46 years. After retiring, he worked at the Pawn Shop in Whitney, Texas. He loved to fish for crappie no matter the weather with his friend, Corky Cole. He was an outdoors men. Pete had an abundance of friends, he never met a stranger and always made friends easily. His closest life long friend was, Johnnie Rose, and John Hennig was his one of his closest friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Doyle Lee and Helen English; and brother, Jeff Spigener.

Pete is survived by the love of his life, Judith Lee; their children, Zach Lee and fiancé, Kathleen, Darrell and wife, Susan, Jason and wife, Tara, and Eric and wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Morgan Wood and husband, Ruston, Jalen Lee, Olivia Lee, Grace Lee, Bryce Lee, and Casandra Lee; sisters, Deborah LaCrox and Lu Anne Henry; and his loyal companion and best friend, Red.
