William Harvey Reaves

William Harvey Reaves, 79, of Laguna Park passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.  There are no services pending at this time.

He was born on June 22, 1942 in Greenville, TN to Billy Sunday Reaves and Betty Marie (Simmons) Reaves.  William graduated Tascosa High School in Amarillo, TX in 1960 and then went on to attend Amarillo College from 1960-61.  In 1962, He joined the Marine Corps.  Professionally, William operated heart & lung machines for open heart surgeries in Houston, TX, Savannah, GA, Billings, MT, and in Ft. Worth, TX.  On February 23, 1980, William married the love of his life, Susan Reaves.  He was a member of King Memorial United Methodist Church in Whitney.  Among many other things, he organized a fan drive for people who were without air conditioning.

William is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan; daughter, Amanda Marie Rogers of Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Jennifer Thompson and husband, Rick of Venemont, AL; and grandson, William Ryan Rogers-USMC.
