William Jackson "Bill" Shepherd Jr. was welcomed into this world on April,4, 1930 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
He went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2019 in Hillsboro, Texas. He was 88 years old.
Preceding him in his death is his father, William Jackson Shepherd Sr., Effie Lillian Parsons Shepherd, and a sister, Sue Ann Shepherd.

During his life, Bill was employed by Engine Service and Supply in Odessa, Texas for 50 years, where he had been the Sales Manager. Bill also served the communities where he resided for 14 years as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Ector County, Texas, an elected Constable in McCullough County, and as a Deputy in McCullough County, Texas. He was a past member of the Kiwanis Club in Brady, Texas and a member of the Steiner Baptist Choir of Lake Whitney, Texas.

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 40 years, Margaret Jackson Shepherd. One son, Paul Shepherd and his wife Shanan; daughters, Ann Nichols and Terri Hussey; son Jimmy McKnight and his wife, Liz; daughter Jena and her husband Dave Morrison; son Tommy McKnight and his wife, Andrea;
and son Bobby McKnight and his Wife Ronnie.

Bill was blessed in life to leave a heritage of 13 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren who fondly called him their "Poppy Bill."

Memorial services will be held at Steiner Baptist Church 1772 FM 1713 Morgan, Texas, 76677 on
Saturday, April 6, ,2019 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made
to "Providence Hospice" at 6700 Sanger Avenue, Waco, Texas, 76710.
