William Stewart

William “Bill” James Stewart , age 77, of Whitney, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 in Hillsboro. Mr. Stewart will lie in state from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2019 with the family receiving visitors from 4:00-6:00 PM. at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Bill was born January 27, 1942 in Whitney to W. D. (Chick) and Ruth (Ferguson) Stewart.
He grew up in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School. He married Peg Faglie.

Bill worked for Lone Star Gas from 1964 to 1976, he also owned and operated G.A.S. A/C from 1976 until 1980. He moved to Hill County in 1981 where he owned and operated Stewart and Sons Air Conditioning and Heating until 1984. He then bought the Radio Shack franchise and worked there until his retirement in 2014. Bill was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding in death were his parents, W.D.(Chick) and Ruth Stewart.

Survivors include his wife Peg Faglie Stewart of Whitney; sons, Doug Stewart and wife, Linda, of Carls Corner, Curt Stewart and wife, Donna of Canyon Lake; grandchildren, Khrystal Garcia and husband, George, of Odessa, Wayne Stewart and wife, Jessica, of Hillsboro, Dusty Stewart of Cleburne, and Rick Dawkins and wife, Barbara of Hillsboro; two great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Stewart of Dallas; sisters, Bonnie Smith of Arlington, and Sue Wood of Waco.
