William Tidwell

Bill Tidwell passed away in Florida on June 23, 2006 He was the son of Wade and Mary Jane Shaw Tidwell. He grew up in Whitney and served in World War II in the Army?s Fighting 69th Infantry Division in European Theater. He re-enlisted into the Air Force and retired in 1963 after 22 years of combined service in the Army and Air Force. Married Betijean Scanlon and she preceded him in death in 1996. Married Adela Lata on Nov. 12, 1979. He owned and operated several convenience stores in the Waco area. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife, Adela Tidwell of Navarre, FL; children, Michael C. Tidwell and wife, Joyce of San Marcos, TX, Cynthia Jean Johnston and Husband, Randall of Wichita, KS, William F. Tidwell, Jr. of Denver CO, Julia Tidwell Burtness of Denver, CO, Jenelyn Bertsch and husband, Nathan of Atlanta, GA, Tracy Kay Green and husband, Steven of Tampa, FL, Neilvic Tidwell of Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Shannon Burtness of Denver, CO, Geoffrey Edward Tidwell of Fulton, MS; great grandchild: Liam Christian Tidwell of Fulton, MS.
