Willie Morgan

Willie Loyce Morgan, 92, of Abbott passed away early Friday morning, June 22, 2018, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. John Nader officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to service time.

Born July 20, 1925, in McLennan County, she was the daughter of O. C. and Roxie (Callen) Stone. On May 27, 1944, she was united in marriage to Wendell Morgan, and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2005. An immaculate housekeeper, Willie Loyce always liked her house to be clean and organized. She was a lifelong member of the Hill County Roundup Club and the Abbott Methodist Church until its closing, at which time she joined the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Martha Lou Harley, Ella Mae Bajer, and Helen Felner; and two brothers, James Stone and Donald Stone.

Survivors include her two daughters, Shirley Finch and husband, Mike, and Sharon Campbell and husband, Hank; five brothers, Roy Stone, O. C. Stone, Tommy Stone and wife, Bea, Bobby Stone and wife, Connie, and Jerry Stone and wife, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Livy Etter, Mary Mae and Morris Russell, Ella Morgan, and Linda Stone; three grandchildren, Scott Finch and wife, Audrey, Angie Crawshaw and husband, Clint, and Shane Campbell; and one great-granddaughter, Caitlin Finch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 673, Hillsboro, TX 76645; Abbott Baptist Church, P. O. Box 38, Abbott, TX 76621; or the Abbott Catholic Youth Organization, 601 Houston St., Abbott, TX 76621.
