Wilma Martin

Wilma Martin passed away on November 21, 2005 in Whitney. She was the daughter of Walter and Pearlie Elizabeth Gray Woods. She married Warren Hall Martin, Sr. on August 10, 1974 in Fort Worth, Texas and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2002. She loved sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and the Baylor Bears. Wilma was a very good cook and liked to bake and take goodies to the Nursing Homes. She was a fine Christian woman and very kind to everyone. She was a member of Fort Graham Baptist Church and a member of Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 522. Also preceding her in death were her parents and twin brother, Wilton Woods. Survivors include her children, Joyce Payne of North Richland Hills, Barry Kirk and wife, Julia of Whitney; 3 stepsons, Warren Martin, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Bedford, Jamie Martin and wife, Paula of Fort Worth, Jason Martin and wife, Lisa of Fort Worth; brother, Arthur Faram of Whitney, sisters, Sibbie Cartwright of North Richland Hills, Christine Kelly of New Orleans, LA; 4 grandchildren, David, Doug, Chip and Jacob; 4 great grandchildren: Christie, Sara, Megan and Jaci.
