Wilton Bearden, 85, of Itasca died Tuesday, September 28, 2010, Providence Hospital in Waco. Wilton was born February 6, 1925 in Hill County the son of H. R. and Priscilla Clark Bearden. He graduated from Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro Junior College, and Texas Wesleyan University. During World War II, he served his country in the U. S. Army in the Pacific seeing active duty on New Caledonia Bougainville Island and other islands. After the war, he completed his education and became a science teacher and coach in Itasca before retiring to farming and ranching. On January 16, 1948 he married Nell Ruth Keeton and she preceded him in death on October 15, 2001. He was of the Baptist faith. Also preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his children, Robert Bearden and wife, Charis, of Austin and Ann Ball and husband, Randy, of Itasca; and two grandsons, Christopher Ball and wife, Olga, of Waco and Michael Ball of Itasca.
