Winnie Donahew

Winnie Wynona Donahew, 92, of Joshua passed away Monday, November 24, 2014, at Estates Healthcare and Rehab Center in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Mr. Harrell Wilson officiating. Winnie will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, November 29 and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday. The family will be present from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday prior to service time.

Born November 15, 1922 in Dallas, Winnie was the daughter of Paul F. and Esther May (Bruton) Havemann. For many years, she worked as a sales clerk at Tucker Lumber Company in Hillsboro and also filled in as secretary for the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce when she was needed there. A very good cook, Winnie enjoyed cooking, sewing, and dancing in her spare time. She attended church at College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro, was past president of the Hillsboro Garden Club, and was a past member of the Eastern Star. Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her three children, Joe Donahew and wife, Sara, of Fort Worth, Jerry Donahew and wife, Susie, of Burleson, and Glenda Marshall of Joshua; nine grandchildren, Lisa Blume and husband, Jim, of McKinney, DeeLaina Riddle of Euless, Casey Donahew and wife, Melinda, of Aledo, Christy Haltom and husband, David, of Van, Vange Pueblo and wife, Deana, of Colleyville, Shana Pueblo of Joshua, Cami Schmidt of Joshua, Dr. Laura Morris and husband, Tres, of Fort Worth, and Dr. Karen Baker and husband, Jay, of Cedar Hill; and seventeen great-grandchildren, Monica and Clint, Ryan Riddle, Zax, Zane, Reed, Trevor, Kayley, Jason, Ryan Pueblo, Tarin Schmidt-Pueblo, Victoria, Carly and Aubrey Morris, and Jake, Chloe, and Davis Baker.
