Woodrow Curry

Woodrow Wilson Curry, 95, of Columbia, LA and a former resident of Hillsboro, passed away October 31, 2012 at a nursing home in Jonesville, LA. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro . Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Wilson was born May 14, 1917 in Hillsboro to Lum Matthew and Carrie (Rowland) Curry. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served bravely in the U.S. Army. Wilson retired as a longshoreman and was employed with Brown & Root for many years.

Preceding him in death were his parents and grandson, Damon Boudreaux.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Nita Jo (Jones) Curry of Columbia; one son, Buster Curry and wife , Jane of Columbia; daughter, Jody Wilson and husband Ted of Plainview; and grandson, Darren M. Curry of Reading, PA.
