Woodrow was the son of William D. and Ruth Jefferson Isbell. He graduated from Abbott High School where he was captain of the football team. Following graduation, he ran a Conoco service station and helped his dad farm. He was among the first to volunteer from Hill County for the military after the war broke out. After joining the Army Air Corp, he received his training at the Emory Riddle School of Aviation in Miami, FL. During the war he served from 1941-45 in the Middle East, Egypt and India. He married Tennie Middleton on August 31, 1946 in Hillsboro. The couple lived in Hillsboro where they farmed and ranched until moving to Fouke, Arkansas in September of this year to be with their son and daughter-in-law. Woodrow was a member of the College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death were his parents, 2 brothers, Eugene and Everett Isbell, and an infant sister, Billie Ruth Isbell. Survivors include his wife, Tennie Isbell of Fouke, Ark.; son, Tommy Isbell and wife Glenda of Fouke, Ark.; granddaughter, Coen Isbell of Cape Maine, N.J.; and grandson, Calen Isbell and wife Brandi of Portsmouth, Virginia.
